Andalusia has a special colour. Andalusia has duende!

Andalucia tiene un color especial. Andalucia tiene duende!

Antonio Cipriano José María y Francisco de Santa Ana Machado y Ruiz (26 July 1875 - 22 February 1939), known as Antonio Machado, was a Spanish poet and one of the leading figures of the Spanish literary movement known as the Generation of '98. His work, initially modernist, evolved towards an intimate symbolism with romantic traits. He gradually developed a style characterised, on the one hand, by a commitment to humanity and, on the other, by an almost Taoist contemplation of existence, a synthesis which, according to Machado, echoed the most ancient popular wisdom. In the words of Gerardo Diego, Machado "spoke in verse and lived in poetry".
